What conditions can be treated?

Acupuncture has been most commonly known as an effective treatment for various pain conditions including back pain, headache, and sports injuries. However, acupuncture provides more than pain relief, especially when combined with moxibustion and when the therapy is conducted by well trained experienced acupuncturists.
Acupuncture and Moxibustion can be helpful in treating certain types of anxiety, insomnia, digestive problems, hormonal imbalances, urinary dysfunctions, weight control, gynecological conditions, infertility and much more.

 How does Acupuncture feel?

Acupuncture is surprisingly relaxing, allowing both the muscles of the body and the mind to unwind and de-stress. The insertion of the needles is painless and because of the small size does not present any discomfort. Once the needles are placed along the meridians patients often feel a sensation of warmth, a pleasant tingling or pressure as the energy begins to move and flow. It is a deeply relaxing sensation and only lasts a few seconds as the body once again becomes balanced. This sensation known in as De-Qi has been shown to have a proven effect on the human brain, stimulating the production of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers, and increasing the energy circulation around the area being treated promoting faster tissue regeneration.
